What's the Best Advice Your Mom Ever Gave You?

my mama always saying to me

“If you can't say something nice, don't say anything”

and to respect others especially those who are older.This advice has helped me alot with people skills in general and being respectful is one thing that has been good advice!What's the Best Advice Your Mom Ever Gave You?
Always be sure to wear clean underwear ..you never know when you might have to go to hospital !What's the Best Advice Your Mom Ever Gave You?
Well my mom gave lots of advice but the most important one is to never stoop down to people's levels.

When someone treats you badly or in a disrespective manner, don't go down to their level and treat them the same way they treated you, instead be yourself and treat them the way you were raised to treat people (your own good way). I'm not saying to be negative, but when someone treats you badly, don't wrong them because two wrongs don't make right. So, instead stand your own ground and defend yourself without cursing anyone and remember that what goes around comes around so one day someone will treat them badly the same way they treated you and you'll get your right back.
Hello,Juliet :)

wow..that'd be an endless list of advice ... starting from ';straighten up your back while sitting %26amp; walking :D ... till ... anything else b2a lol

anyway, i'd say that the piece of advice that i've never forgotten:

when i was about 11 years old, i went to my uncle's %26amp; stayed the night over ... when i came back home i started commenting on %26amp; critisizing some bad habits his wife do ...

Mom told me, then, ';Hey! don't tell me anything ... you should know that Once you go into someone's house %26amp; out of it ,you should keep anything you saw or heared for yourself .. never tell me or anyone else ... ';el byoout leeha 7ormet-ha'; %26amp; you have to te7termy el beit ely btd7'oleeh w te7termy ahlo .. w msh tetkalemy 3la ay 7aga by3mlooha wala tantaqedeeha';

and since then i learnt how to keep secrets and respect everyone's privacy.
*to learn from my mistakes (im still learning that lesson)

*to always listen to and respect what is being said, especially by old poeple because they know what they are talking about, they have experienced life and often can give u the best advice

*respect others, no one is any less significant than u r

theres more but its a pretty long list and i think i should leave some space for others to answer =p
simmilar to another person who answered...but it is the best advice she gave me..because I have to remember it alot in life these days

when someone treats you badly: move on and don't seek revenge. When you seek revenge: you dig two graves..one for him and one for yourself. The best way to punish someone is to kill them with kindness.
(Trust in God and tawakalee 3la Allah).

';Be yourself'; That taught me a lot about self confidence and respecting others and their ways too... cos if i can be who i truly am an not feel shame then i can def. accept others too or at least just walk away and let them be, if i can't.

And yeah, her everyday advice.... DRINK WATER.... i hear that every time she talks to me on the phone LOL.

Miss u mum xoxo.
don't complain and enjoy what you have now, you may not have it later.

I think she is right and she told me a story about how she learned this lesson the hard way. i don't want to write it cause it's a sad one.
Mama, she has taught me well , told me when I was young '; Son, your life is an open book , don't close it 'fore it's done'; ... ';The brightest flame burns quickest';, that's what I heard her say ...
so many , but she always advises me to be good to everybody %26amp; be ';large '; if u know what i mean?

lool

long live Egypt..

love %26amp; peace from islam..
';Sometimes silence is the best weapon against your enemies!!';
Sadly none . My parents claim I live in a dream world %26amp; they are the ones that do not me
I couldn't remember
Don't talk to strangers
don't cover a mistake with another one..

and just like my dear ';hope';, mama always say, drink plenty of water!!
don't ever depend on a man for anything
all of them were good
