its never to late to learn! i attended the aramburu culinary academy as well as the scottsdale culinary institute. where do you plan to go to school? its important to have the right tools... I prefer forschner knives from switzerland although expensive they are well made.Can you give me some advice on how to become a successful chef? I'm starting chef school?
you should try your best to stay clean so you have more space left
you should always follow the recipe book or bad things can happen
try to keep your hands clean AT ALL TIMES if not you can hert or kill some one like raw meant you need to wash hands before and after
stay organized so you no where everything is very important
also read the recipe first before you start you don't want it to say let it sit and under it would say stir every 5min you know what i mean
make sure before you start have all ingredients before you start
make perfect measures with anything
do not sneeze on food you might know that but just step away

Cook because you love it, not for money or fame or anything else. Then you will be a great chef. Try your food before it goes out. Have good hygiene. Wash your hands and keep your hair in a net (yes guys too).
