I have a bruised, maybe broken tail bone by falling on concrete. Do you guys have any advice?

1. Should I go to the doctor?

2. PAIN, what should I do for pain?

3. Can there be any serious damage with a badly hurt tailbone?

4. If you feel it nessicary you can contact me by email or PMing me.I have a bruised, maybe broken tail bone by falling on concrete. Do you guys have any advice?
OMG that must be painful....I would definately go to the dr. They can do a quick x ray and advise you on pain medication etc. You poor thing. I hope it gets sorted. Good luck.I have a bruised, maybe broken tail bone by falling on concrete. Do you guys have any advice?
I've had bruised coccyx. Went to doctor. Had x-rays.

Yes, you should go to doctor in case you have a fracture.

I didn't have constant pain with mine. But if I forgot and sat down wrong, I really regretted it.

I made a U-shaped pillow out of thick foam padding. I sat on the pillow with the open part of the U toward the back of the chair. It kept my tail bone from touching the chair.

I was fine after about 3 weeks.
There is little a doctor can do for a bruised or broken tail bone. You can buy one of those inflatable rings to sit on, or roll up a towel and make a ring, so your tail bone is not in direct contact with the chair. Regular over the counter aspirin. Best of luck. Peace
one more answer--i did the same thing--there isn't anything the dr can do--take oc pain(motrin is best) but not more than two-- at a time, buy what they call doughnut ring(didn't help me) or sit sideways. It is going to hurt for quite awhile--the only damage that it can do is to your spine--i have had back trouble since but they can not find anything at ll--by the way it depends on the dr if they do x-ray--intial exam for me the jerk did rectal. He said ';yep, you broke it clean off'; patted my shoulder as he left and sent me home--no scrips for pain other than what I told you
When I mangled my tail bone I rolled a blanket into a sausage and twisted it into a ring. I could sit on it resting my body weight on my thighs. It elevated my tush enough that it spared me excessive butt-pain.

OUCH!!!

The Muse
1. If you go to the doctor, they're going to x-ray you, and tell you if you definitely broke it.

2. If you go to the doctor, they should give you something, otherwise I'd suggest taking tylenol, or motrin.

3. I'm not aware of any serious damage, unless you have bone shards, but even then, I don't know if serious problems can occur.

Otherwise, the only advice I have, try not to sit on your booty. I knew some kids that bruised theirs skateboarding, and they complained for awhile. I hope it feels better.
