Has anybody ever had AP US History? Do you have any advice? What was it like for you?

Is it hard to make an A in AP US? How long did you spend studying for the class each night?Has anybody ever had AP US History? Do you have any advice? What was it like for you?
Its not too hard to make an A if you work a little harder than you did in Honors US history. You only spend about an hour sudying each night if you make good use of your time. If you arn't committed, however, don't take the class.Has anybody ever had AP US History? Do you have any advice? What was it like for you?
I took it about ten years ago and thought it was easy/rather fun at times (moot court and all). You should take it and spend as much time that you need studying at night to understand the material. When you pass the test you may not have to take history in college!
Although it has been seventeen years since I had AP US History, I absolutely loved the course. Since history was my favorite subject, I enjoyed the course. Was it difficult? Yes, but in a challenging way that I liked. Is it hard to make an ';A'; in the course? Yes, but grades are not the most important thing--that is what you learn. I studied anywhere from 45 minutes to several hours every night for AP US History.
I took it last year. I got an A in the class without ever studying, but I failed the AP exam. The book is AWFUL. The most boring thin ever.
it depends how dedicated you are.

im in ap world and have a 79.

but im not all that dedicated..

you have to read alot and study, not cram
Started in it, went into a different one. Personally, I'm not a history buff, but I think it may have been that it was a hard teacher. A lot depends on the teacher.
oh my goodness, i thought AP US History was so hard! the one site that helped me the most in doing well in the class was www.ablongman.com it was such a helpful site. it has a summary of the chapters and it has practice questions to answer to see how well you know the information

good luck in that class. as long as you read the chapters and understand the information somewhat, you should be fine
